Purpose of the CCC Course

The Child-Centered Collaboration (CCC) is set of training guides for facilitators.CCC courses provide a process and resources for a neutral facilitator to conduct meetings that strengthen communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills among parents, educators, and community-based service providers who serve the needs of a child with disabilities.

Each CCC course presents a meeting with a purpose, objectives, and activities that explore:

  • a child’s strengths and needs
  • team members’ differing roles that support the child
  • areas of overlap and differences in members’ roles
  • barriers that prevent effective collaboration
  • strategies to improve team collaboration and communication
  • commitments to evolve into a collaborative team to better support the child
